Rotary Club of Castle Rock President Judson Mitchell presents a Student of the Month certificate to Logan Traver. With them is Ryan Hollingshead, assistant Principal at Castle View High School and Logan’s mother, Katherine.

Logan Traver, senior at Castle View High School, is headed for a larger stage. At least that is what he aspires to as he goes off to attend the University of Northern Colorado.
Traver was selected as the Rotary Student of the Month for May and appeared recently at the Rotary Club of Castle Rock to receive the honor.
Castle View Assistant Principal Ryan Hollingshead told the club Traver is the kind of student the school takes pride in presenting. Traver was Vice President of the Student Government, carries a 3.9 grade point average, was President of the school’s theater society and co-captain of one of the school’s elite choirs.
“He works hard and helps out kids, any kind of kid,” Hollingshead said. He said Traver is a student who leads by example.
Traver told the club “it’s been a great time” attending CVHS. He said he belongs to the leadership academy and had the lead role in the school’s musicals for the last three years. He said he appreciated the leadership he had in the school, which helped him grow academically. He said he chose to attend UNC because of the theater program. He auditioned for the musical theater program and of about 4,000 who auditioned, he was one of 10 who were accepted.
Traver completed his community service by working with his father’s chapter of the Knights of Columbus to conduct food drives and help the homeless.
