Grace Perry, senior at Castle View High School, has been honored as the Rotary of Castle Rock’s Student of the month for February.
Perry has been very active in her school and the community and ranks in the top 10 in her class academically.
For community service, Perry has been an assistant coach for Little Tykes Soccer in Castle Rock from 2012 to 2014. She also has been a volunteer at Denver’s Downtown Aquarium.
In school, Perry has been a varsity soccer player for three years and has played club soccer since 2011. She was Junior Varsity captain her freshman year.
She also was co-president of the National Honor Society for the 2014-15 school year. She has taken pre-college courses from Brown University.
Awards won by Perry include the Dartmouth Book Award in 2014, Social Studies Student of the Year in 2013, LGC Academy Student of the Year in 2012 and 2013, and Math Student of the year in 2012.
Perry’s grade point average is 4.27, ranking her third in a class of 441.
Perry was honored at the club’s Feb. 18 meeting.
