You can become a cash sponsor at one of four different sponsorship levels, each with varying degrees of recognition and promotional benefit.  Of course the main benefit will be the Rotary charities that receive support because of your sponsorship.  In 2020, the main beneficiary of sponsorship funds will be Wellspring Communities and Phase I of the Wellspring Garden Project to benefit their STARS (Specially Talented Adults Raising Standards).
The Wellspring Community program provides their STARS the opportunity to take classes and engage with the community in the following areas:
  • life leadership
  • Arts and Performances
  • Health & Fitness
  • Social Responsibility
  • Learning & Enrichment
The Wellspring Garden is a vital part of the enrichment program and allows the Wellspring STARS to experience the joy of watching seeds they have planted grow into food and plants that can be sold at local farmers markets and plant sales. Phase I of the Garden Project is to prepare the land, build a shade shelter, and install garden beds at a recently donated 2.5 acre property on Wolfensberger Road.  This will allow Wellspring to transition their garden program from the current location at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital to the new property.
Once the garden has been established on the new property, STARS will be employed and the garden will be used as a business enterprise.  The garden project will give STARS the chance to be empowered through employment.  STARS garden activities will include: soil prep, seed planting, transplanting seedlings, bulb planting, garden bed maintenance (including watering, weeding, and seedling thinning) and harvesting.Produce and plants will be sold at local farmers markets and an annual Mother’s day plant sale.

2020 Ducky Derby Sponsorship Funds will be used to support Phase I of the Garden Project.  More information on Wellspring can be found HERE.
