The Castle Rock Rotary Club | Arthur N. Brewer Scholarship

About our Scholarships

As part of our ongoing commitment to the Youth in our community, the Rotary Club of Castle Rock has been providing scholarships to deserving students since 1990. The Club has been and continues to be especially anxious to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated committed service to their community and a plan to use their career as an avenue of continued service to the community.

Over the years, the Rotary Club has provided scholarships to several organizations and programs including Castle View High School, Arapahoe Community College, and Hide In Plain Sight.

Currently, the Rotary Club of Castle Rock has two Scholarship Programs: The Arthur N. Brewer Scholarships and the Legacy Campus Scholarships.

The Legacy Campus Scholarships

The Legacy Campus is an exciting new endeavor for the Douglas County School District. The Legacy Campus’s mission is to cultivate a Career & Technical Education environment where post-secondary and industry partnerships provide relevant learning opportunities for high school students and the Douglas County community to ensure a competitive advantage and workforce readiness. Students attend classes at their home school, but travel to Legacy Campus 2-3 days a week. There are fees (mostly college tuition fees) associated with the programs.

Scholarships provided by the Rotary Club of Castle Rock allow several students who otherwise would not have the financial means the opportunity to attend. This program is also for applicants currently enrolled in one of the Castle Rock High Schools.

Application for these scholarships is made through the Legacy Campus. A student’s school counselor can facilitate the process.

More information on the Legacy Campus is available here:

Arthur N. Brewer Scholarships

The Arthur N. Brewer Castle Rock Rotary Scholarship is named for the Club's Charter President and longtime advocate of Rotary, young people, and education. Mr. Brewer was a retired teacher, former school board member, avid outdoorsman, and dedicated Rotarian.

Scholarships for $1000.00 are available to any student enrolled in one of the Castle Rock High Schools (Castle View, Douglas County High, Renaissance, or DC Oakes) who would like to further their post-secondary education at an accredited college, university, or trade school. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need.  Although high academic achievement is not a determining factor, the student's cumulative grade point average must be 2.5 or higher.

At least two letters of reference are requested, along with a letter of introduction (1 page maximum) to identify yourself and the completed application is required for consideration.
