Luke Stahmer has served on the Arc Board for more than a decade including chairing two of the five Arc Thrift executive committees. He has now been appointed to oversee community relations and business development at Arc with an emphasis on sharing Arc’s professional and non-profit accomplishments within the community.

Offering an alternative for teens in Castle Rock

Teen Court is a community-based, juvenile intervention/prevention program that offers an alternative to the juvenile justice system. 

This diversion-like program only accepts juvenile offenders with first-time, nonviolent, misdemeanor charges. These offenders are seen by youth volunteers from the community who act as peer attorneys, bailiffs, judges and jurors.

Jeff is an attorney in private practice in Denver.  He specializes in juvenile delinquency and criminal matters.  A fairly recent transplant to the state, Mr. Cuneo was an Assistant Public Defender in Sacramento County, California for 10 years.  He handled everything from homicides to petty offenses, and focused his practice on representing juveniles facing charges in adult court.  Mr. Cuneo was the Program Director for the Placer County Re-entry Program, where he implemented a program assisting and providing resources to recently released inmates.  He was elected to, and served as a Trustee on the Sacramento City Unified School District Board of Education.  He is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum.  He currently serves as a member of both the Denver Great Kids Head Start Policy Council and the Denver Early Childhood Policy Committee.  He also volunteers his time providing legal services to Denver homeless youth.  He is married to his wife Carrie, and has two children, Charlie and Haddie.
