An update on water, wastewater and stormwater utility operations in Castle RockMark Marlowe, P.E. Mark is the Director of Castle Rock Water for the Town of Castle Rock. He is responsible for the water, wastewater and stormwater utility operations and leads a team of 85 plus employees in their mission of providing excellent service to over 65,000 residents. He serves on a number of regional water boards including the South Metro Water Supply Authority and the WISE Authority. Prior to becoming the Director of Castle Rock Water for the Town in March of 2013, he spent 10 years with Dalton (GA) Utilities most recently as the Senior Vice President of Watershed Services. In this position, he was responsible for running the water, wastewater, and stormwater business unit, an award winning full service utility that provided water service to approximately 100,000 people in Northwest Georgia. His career also includes experience working for General Electric as a project manager as well as several regional consulting/engineering firms in the Southeast over approximately a 10 year period before joining Dalton Utilities. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in the Arts (Russian Studies and Mathematics) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor degree of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed professional Engineer in Colorado and Georgia. Mark lives in Castle Rock with his wife Laura and two children, Brett and Cecilia.

Update on the DCSOTony Spurlock is Douglas County’s 33rd Sheriff. He was first elected Sheriff in 2015 and re-elected for a second term in November 2018. Sheriff Spurlock has worked in law enforcement for 38 years.

Douglas County Land ConservancyPatti Hostetler has been with DLC since 2000. She is a Colorado native and a resident of Douglas County along with her husband and three sons, since 1991. She has been active in the Douglas County community being involved as Secretary of the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation, Treasurer of the Douglas County Non-profit Coalition, former Vice President of the Woodlands HOA and Chair of the Town of Castle Rock Planning Commission. Patti attended Fort Lewis College and Metro State University, both in Colorado, holds a Colorado real estate license, and has worked in the Colorado real estate industry for over 27 years. She is a graduate of the rigorous Executive Leadership Program through the Land Trust Alliance, the umbrella organization for the 1,700 land trusts throughout the country. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening.
